Getting Started with iLearn Math

At the start of each term, iLearn Implementation will need to set up any new classes. You can then assist your students in enrollment and starting the program(s).

Class Registration

To have your classes set up each term, please contact (or have the main iLearn contact at your college contact) isupport@ilearn.com with the following information:

  • Instructor Name
  • Course Titles and Sections
  • Start and End Date

We will set up the classes and email instructors their Course Key(s) before the start of the new semester.

Getting Students Enrolled

Students need a Course Key to enroll. The Course Key is provided by you, the instructor (see above). Students can register and get started, later entering a Student Key after purchase, either from the iLearn online store or from the college bookstore.

Please contact isupport@ilearn.com if you have any questions about which options are available for your students.

Student Enrollment Process

  1. Go to www.ilearn.com/enroll to set up an iLearn account (NOTE: returning students do not need to do this step).
  2. Log in at www.ilearn.com/login with username and password created above (or in a previous term).
  3. Enter the new Course Key provided by instructor when prompted.
  4. Enter the purchased Student Key when prompted, or click Continue without key.
    1. (Students have a grace period to secure funding in order to purchase the Student Key. They can “continue without key” until they purchase a Student Key or the grace period ends.)
      1. Important: The grace period is not a free-access period in which the student can complete the requirements of course. It is offered for students to secure financial aid for purchase.
    2. Students using an Unlimited Student Key in a previous course will not need a new Key for the next course(s).
  5. Students select the appropriate program (i.e. iPASS) to begin. (Note: before students can start in iKnow or MyQ, you must first assign an assessment (in iKnow) or a queue (in MyQ). At the Support site, see the documents for MyQ and iKnow Math for more information.

Managing Students

Students initially need a Course Key to begin, and later a Student Key to continue in iLearn.

As an instructor, view your class list in the Management utility.

If a student drops the class and is no longer on your roster, click “remove” next to a student’s name to remove them from the class and disallow them from accessing iLearn. You, the instructor are a critical component of the learning process, so students no longer registered in your course should not have access.

To view student reports, click “Reports” on the iLearn Hub.

Reports offer many different and customizable views to help you track student progress and identify students that need your help, motivation, and congratulations. Students can access their individual reports, in which they can view their own progress, hours, and detailed metrics.
